I have been kicking around the idea of creating a separate blog to showcase my various photography captures that I hope people out there find interesting. It also gives me the excuse to start a new blog and work on a new theme.

You might notice that I have created a Wordpress.com blog instead of self-host another one. Though once I figure out a domain name for it I will convert back over to a self-hosted blog with hopefully a unique theme I design myself.

The above photo I took during the weekend on a photo-walk around Vancouver’s Stanley park at Lost Lagoon. Lost Lagoon is a great place to watch the birds to their things and the usual residents are ducks, swans, pigeons, seagulls to even the little sandpiper type bird pictured above. There are a few other types of birds and there are nestings of blue herons as well. You can also see the occassional little critter like racoons, skunks or evne squirrels.

So this being the first post on my newly created blog, I welcome you and hope you stick around to see what other fascinating things I capture with my digital SLR camera.
