Since Robyn and I have recently moved I thought I would try and take a shot off our balcony to show people one of the views we get living here in the West End of Vancouver. Granted it’s overcast and not really sunny I thought I would try and bring out some more colour by processing the photo as a 1 exposure HDR in Photomatix. It’s not bad and does look nicer than the original RAW file which is kind of meh.

HDR of view from new Balcony

We’re only a block and a half from English Bay and 1 block west of Denman so the commute anywhere by foot is really easy and fun. Perhaps we can watch the Celebration of Light Fireworks next year from our Balcony, guess we’ll find out. You can click on the above photo for larger versions.

I also get to see this viewing angle from where I sit at my computer desk. Pretty decent view I would say. I’m pretty excited to be where I am, and I know Robyn is as well.

Thanks :) I should set up a little web cam and point it towards the water for a pseudo live-view of the area.
